Merchant F. W. Woolworth dies at his Glen Cove, L.I., estate April 8 at age 67, leaving a fortune of $67 million (none of it to charity). There are 1,000 Woolworth stores in the United States plus many in Britain, and the chain has annual sales of $107 million.
