Henry Ford acquires the Dearborn Independent, whose editorials soon reveal a tone of anti-Semitism. The paper will serialize the fraudulent "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" over the course of more than 90 weeks (see 1903), and many U.S. Jews will refuse to buy Ford cars, as will some non-Jews who find the paper's views objectionable.
