Tobacco

Mail Pouch tobacco has its beginning in the West Virginia Mail Pouch chewing tobacco introduced October 15 by Wheeling, West Virginia, stogie makers Aaron and Samuel Bloch, who started making stogies in the back of Samuel's wholesale grocery and dry goods store in 1879. Farmers will be paid for more than half a century to let Bloch Brothers use their barns as advertising billboards for the Mail Pouch brand made from flavored stogie wrapper clippings.
