Bio

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Literature & Creative Writing at the University of Utah, where I serve as an editorial assistant at Western Humanities Review and Quarterly West. I also teach college composition, literature, and creative writing classes at the university. Previously, I taught George Mason University and worked as a tutor in their writing center during my MFA in Creative Writing (poetry), which I received in 2007. I have poems forthcoming in journals including Subtropics, and have received a fellowship from Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. I have presented at academic conferences, including a paper entitled “Darwinism’s Influence in the Evolution of Contemporary Poetic Form” in 2006 at a conference hosted at UNC - Greensboro. I am member of the National Council of Teachers of English and the Association of Writing Programs.
