Biography

I have had an interesting life. I grew up in Morgan Hill, CA. I thought I wanted to be veterinarian. I loved animals. But veterinary school was out of reach financially. Until High School I had no idea what I was good at. Then I took Biology and I found my niche so to speak. I was easily able to understand the concepts. So at the completion of High School I decided to major in Biology. So I started my college training at Gavilan College in Gilroy. That is where I encountered my all-time favorite teacher, Mary McKenna. She just inspired me to major in Microbiology. I ended up at Fresno State University. There I met and eventually married my former husband of over 22 years. We had three sons were active leaders in a local church. Then he left to pursue another direction in life. Suddenly, I needed a change of careers. I had left my previous career ofr laboratory technology to raise my three sons. I had homeschooled my two older sons and really enjoyed it. So, I thought, why not get a teaching credential? So I signed up with University of Phoenix and completed their two year training program. I am now a CA credentialled teacher who has been a substitute teacher for over two years. I also have a tutoring site on WyzAnt and I have worked with Ace Tutoring! Powered by Sylvan of Modesto.
