Biography
Born in Illinois, grew up in Grand Forks, ND. Attended Gonzaga University and received a BS in chemistry, then attended Michigan State University and received an MS in Organic Chemistry. I worked in the paper industry, specializing in the recycling of paper, for many years. Jobs included Scott Paper and Fort Howard - both manufacturers; Voith - a German manufacturer of recycling equipment; and Kao Corp and Mitsubishi - both suppliers of specialty chemicals used in recycling. after a short stint as owner of a remodeling/carpentry business I did a lateral entry into teaching at the high school level.
