Biography
Born in Elgin, Illinois, too close to Chicago to avoid being a lifetime Cubs fan, I moved with my family to Arizona in 1964. Initially I studied Archaeology and anthropology, receiving my BA in 1975 with a minor in English Lit. I returned to school to become a certified teacher in 1986. My first full-time teaching assignment was at a Primary School on the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation where I worked for three years. Continuing throughout to work as an archaeologist I also dabbled in teaching at a local community college and lead tours throughout the southwest. Currently I am a second grade teacher and enjoy a part-time second career as a storyteller.
