Bio
I was born in Milbank, South Dakota and am well-aquainted with rural life in middle America. After high school, I pursued an applied music degree at Seattle Pacific College, and upon graduation, further improved performance skills on my primary instruments, harpsichord and organ, at Northwestern University. Upon returning to Seattle, I completed the requirements for teacher certification at Seattle Pacific University with an emphasis in Elementary Education. My current teaching assignment is at Dunlap Elmentary, in south Seattle, where I have taught 4th and 5th grade for the past 25 years. Since 1976 I have served as Director of Music, Organist, and Choir Director at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, where I also teach Old Testament History to high school students. I also teach a few private piano students.
Interests
I like to snorkel in warm tropical waters and observe life on the coral reef. I enjoy learning about nutrition and health. I spend my free moments composing music for my church, my piano students and selected video soundtracks.
