Biography
I am a middle and high school English teacher and an online instructor in a master of education program for teachers at a major university. I also tutor K-12 in almost all subjects. During my teaching career I have taught science, history, math up to and including algebra, physical education, computers, and speech and debate. I taught in self-contained elementary classrooms and single subject middle school and high school classrooms. I have taught for over a decade, most of it in a brick and mortar classroom while simultaneously teaching online. My BS degree is in business with a concentration in entrepreneurship. I also have a M.Ed. degree in curriculum with a concentration in language development. As a result I have a background in business law, product innovation, marketing, and other business-related skills. I have a doctorate degree, specializing in qualitative methods. I teach teacher education courses, mostly in assessment methods. As a result, I have an extensive background in sociology, research methodology, and statistics.
