My interests vary from mountain biking and working out, to reading, listening to music and watching my children play sports. I love to cook, especially on holidays and during the summer break, when I have time to get creative in the kitchen. Currently, I'm enjoying the research I'm doing on Heart of Darkness. I've become fascinated with the novel and particularly with Conrad's style. My senior AP students aren't quite as enthralled with the novel as I am, but with any luck a handful of them will learn to appreciate the fact that there are many ways to tell a story - and Conrad has his.
Biography
I teach freshman and senior English in a small, Northern California town. When I am not buried under a mountain of papers, I like to spend time with my four, elementary age children, and husband, who also teaches.
