About Me

Bio
I am in my 22nd year of teaching. I have taught pre-k through 12th grade special education (LD and EBD). I spent 20 years in North Dakota and taught in a BIA school on Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation. Several years ago I was an Instructional Coach at the high school level, but returned to my true love, teaching kids! I also have four years experience at an alcohol and drug treatment facility where I was a residential supervisor for adolescents. Presently, I teach at a therapeutic school in south Georgia and have severely autistic students.
Interests
I love to get into a great discussion or debate. I like to go places and sit and people watch. I am interested in working with people on the Autism Spectrum; especially those with Asperger's Syndrome. I love my cats: Ninja Taco, Scruffy, and Fru Fru. I have 3 great grown kids (oxymoron for sure!) and a teenager. I also have the greatest granddaughter (Ali) ever!! I am an avid geneologist and am working on connecting my family with The Lost Colony. My favorite activity is treasure hunting for bargains at consignment shops and Goodwill!
