Zick.
Dynasty of German painters active over five generations in the 18th and 19th centuries. The two leading members were Johann Zick (1702–62) and his son and pupil Januarius Zick (1730–97). Both of them were primarily church decorators in the Rococo style, although the comparative solidity and sobriety of Januarius's later work shows the influence of Neoclassicism, as in his ceiling frescos (1786) in the Klosterkirche in Triefenstein. In addition to his frescos he painted numerous easel pictures.
