Tanagra figurines
Tanagra figurines (or statuettes).A type of painted terracotta figurine, mostly of the 3rd century bc, named after Tanagra in Boeotia, Greece, where many of them were found in the late 19th century. The favourite subjects were elegantly draped women. They became enormously popular and have been much forged.
