for your first question id defend them by saying johnny killing bob was only self defense. your reasons are that they were drowning ponyboy, they were looking for a fight, and they were drunk so they werent fully concious to what they were doing.
for your other question, when johnny saved ponys life by killing the soc, when dally gave them the gun and money risking jail, when dally told them were they could hide, when johnny stayed up on the train so ponyboy could sleep, and johnny telling pony hes as good looking as soda. and for your last question i think that it symbolizes how much money the socs had and how only they could afford nice things like that.
