The Story:
In the African kingdom of Coromantien, the ruler was an old man more than one hundred years of age. His grandson, Prince Oroonoko, was the bravest, most beloved young man in all the land. When the commanding general was killed in battle, Oroonoko was chosen to take his place, even though the prince was only seventeen years old.
