Why did Curley agree not to tell on Lennie?

    Curly decided to not tell on Lennie because he was looking out for Lennie's health. He knew that if he told on Lennie then he would be fired, or even killed.

    Curley agree to not tell on Lennie because of his fear of being embarrassed in the eyes of others and because he was defeated at his own violent game. Curley fancied himself as a prize fighter, so if Slim revealed to everyone the true nature of Curley's injury, Curley's reputation as an unbeatable tough guy would be shattered, much like the bones in his hand.
