In Chapter I of Of Mice and Men, what two things does George tell Lennie to do?

    In Chapter I, George had thrown Lennie's dead mouse away earlier, but Lennie had retrieved it. When George finds that Lennie has the mouse again, he tells him to get rid of it.

    Also in Chapter I, George tells Lennie to remember where they are by the river, to remember that exact place. George tells Lennie that if he gets into trouble, to come back there and wait for George. George's instructions foreshadow the story's tragic conclusion.
