Agamemnon and Menelaus are brothers.  Menelaus's wife Helen is the reason for the Trojan War.  However, he was never bitter about that and he paints the picture of a happy father, husband and King in Sparta.  He returned from his trip to his loving wife (Helen) and has been happy since he's been home.

Agamemnon, however, returned home to his wife who had been disloyal.  She was already involved with another man.  They both planned his death, and he sees Odysseus in the Land of the Dead where he warns Odysseus to check for his wife's faithfulness before totally trusting her.  That's how he was killed.  So his life at home was very different from his brother's.
