what impression do you have of the differences between the world of odyssey and today's world?

Well, if you look at what a person has to go through to reach his/her dreams or to simply accomplish something in life, there are no major differences. Oddyseus simply went through and overcame obstacles and challenges that many people face today, but not in a literal sense.  We all have to go through something to achieve our goals.
