Ingon

Ingon,
a village in the parish of Hampton Lucy about 2 miles (3 km) north of Stratford, home of Shakespeare's uncle Henry Shakespeare, who also farmed land at the nearby Snitterfield. John Shakespeare leased Ingon Meadow between 1568 and 1570, and in 1575 paid £10 for a lease of 14 acres (5.5 ha) there.
