Adams J. C.
Adams J. C., (John Cranford Adams) (1903–86),American scholar, author of The Globe Playhouse: Its Design and Equipment (1942, 2nd edn. 1961), giving considerable prominence to the inner and the upper areas of the stage, now largely superseded. He was responsible for a reconstruction of the Globe for the Hofstra College Shakespeare Festival.
