Schwitters, Kurt
Schwitters, Kurt (1887–1948),German Dadaist painter and writer. He developed innovative forms of printing and became one of the leading experimental artists in Berlin after World War I. He created unusual fairy tales for children and adults, such as ‘Der Hahnenpeter’ (‘Peter the Rooster’, 1924), ‘Die Märchen vom Paradies’ (‘The Fairy Tales of Paradise’, 1924), and ‘Die drei Wünsche’ (‘The Three Fairy Tales’).
