Perodi, Emma (1850–1918),
Italian writer and journalist. She devoted most of her life to children's literature, serving as editor of the most important children's periodical of her time, Giornale per i bambini (Children's Journal), editing scholastic books for use in elementary schools, and, above all, producing numerous collections of fairy tales.
