Golia

Golia (pseudonym of Eugenio Colmo, 1885–1967),
Italian caricaturist, painter, and illustrator. Most of his ink drawings appeared in the leading satirical magazines of his times. He also provided pictures for journals for young readers, and his best fairy‐tale illustrations can be found in La princessa si spossa (The Princess Gets Married, 1917) written by his good friend Guido Gozzano. Golia experimented with different styles and was influenced by the Bauhaus school in the 1920s, but he always tended to stress the mock caricature in most of his works.
