Davenport, Tom (1939– ),
independent American film‐maker. Besides documentaries focusing on the traditional culture of the American South, Davenport has created an innovative series of live‐action fairy‐tale adaptations called From the Brothers Grimm: American Versions of Folktale Classics (see film and fairy tales).
