Gandalin,in Amadis of Gaul , the son of a knight of Scotland and squire of Amadis. In Don Quixote (i. xx) the Don reminds Sancho that Gandalin ‘always spoke to his master cap in hand, his head inclined and his body bent, in the Turkish fashion’.
