False One, The,a drama attributed to J. Fletcher , in which Massinger may also have had a share, performed c. 1620 , printed 1647 .
The play deals with the joint occupation of the throne of Egypt by Ptolemy and his sister Cleopatra; the treacherous murder of Ptolemy by Septimius, ‘the False One’; and the entanglement of Caesar by the charms of Cleopatra.
