University of East Anglia (UEA),
noted in a literary context for its creative writing programme, founded in 1970 through the joint efforts of A. Wilson and M. Bradbury and in its early days supported financially by Joe McCrindle , editor of the Transatlantic Review. Its first student was Ian McEwan , and later graduates include C. Sinclair , R.
