"An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" was adapted for film in 1962. Produced by Janus, directed by Robert Enrico, and distributed by McGraw-Hill, this thirty-minute black-and-white film stars Roger Jacquet, Anne Cornaly, and Anker Larsen. It won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 1963 and was shown on the television series The Twilight Zone that same year. The story was also adapted as the film The Spy in 1932. It was directed by Charles Vidor and stars Nicholas Bela.
