Zindel, Paul
Zindel, Paul( 1936–2003),New York-born dramatist whose The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (first produced 1964, published 1970), about the relationship of a teenage girl and her unhappy mother and sister, won a Pulitzer Prize (1971). Later plays include And Miss Rearden Drinks a Little (1967, produced 1971), Let Me Hear You Whisper (1974), and Ladies at the Alamo (1975). He also wrote fiction and plays for children and teenagers.
