Yardbird Reader
Yardbird Reader,literary annual founded (1972) by Ishmael Reed in Berkeley, Cal., as an anthology of writings by contemporary Afro-American authors. In 1978 it was renamed Y'Bird Magazine. Editorship has been circulated among several authors, some representative of other minorities, on whose writings special issues have concentrated.
