Woiwode, Larry [Alfred]( 1941– ),North Dakota-born author whose novels, set in the Midwest, are What I'm Going To Do, I Think (1969), a bittersweet tale of a young couple's romance and their return to the site of their honeymoon two years later; Beyond the Bedroom Wall: A Family Album (1975), a portrayal of several generations of a North Dakota family; Poppa John (1981), about an aging television character actor who preaches religious platitudes; and Born Brothers (1988), a sequel to Beyond the Bedroom Wall, tracing two boys from childhood to young adult achievement. Even Tide (1977) collects poems; The Neumiller Stories (1989) gathers short stories.
