Walter, Eugene
Walter, Eugene( 1874–1941),born in Cleveland, was the author of 16 plays during his heyday (1902–21), which included Paid in Full (1908), The Easiest Way (1909), and Fine Feathers (1911), successful melodramas that were considered steps in the direction of realistic drama. He dramatized John Fox's The Trail of the Lonesome Pine (1911) and The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come (1916), and analyzed his technique in How to Write a Play (1925).
