Sorensen, Virginia
Sorensen, Virginia( 1912– ),Utah-born novelist, many of whose works, including A Little Lower Than the Angels (1942), On This Star (1946), The Evening and the Morning (1949), Many Heavens (1954), and Kingdom Come (1960), deal sympathetically and knowingly with Mormon life. The Man with the Key (1974) is a novel with a different subject: a love affair between an older white woman and a black handy man. She has also written books for children and Where Nothing Is Long Ago (1963), recollections of her childhood as a Mormon.
