Saadi,poem by Emerson, first published in The Dial (1842) and collected in Poems (1847). It presents Saadi as the ideal poet dwelling apart from men's distractions, comforted by the Muse enjoining him to be serene. By loving the commonplace in Nature, he finds absolute beauty.
