Parish, Elijah
Parish, Elijah( 1762–1825),orthodox Congregational clergyman of Connecticut, whose sermons incidentally reveal his reactionary adherence to the Federalist party. With Jedidiah Morse, he wrote A Compendious History of New England (1804). In addition to his own works on modern and Biblical geography, he wrote a biography of Eleazar Wheelock with David McClure (1811).
