Macauley, Robie [Mayhew]
Macauley, Robie [Mayhew]( 1919– ),born in Michigan, graduated from Kenyon College (1941), to which he returned to become the editor of the Kenyon Review (1959–66). His writings include The Disguises of Love (1952), a novel about a psychology professor's extramarital affair and its impact upon him, his wife, and their son; The End of Pity (1957), stories; and A Secret History of Time To Come (1979), about human reversion to barbarism after a global war. He has also written Technique in Fiction (1964, revised 1987).
