Lamantia, Philip
Lamantia, Philip( 1927–2005),San Francisco poet whose works are often surrealist and marked by a rapture, now religious, now inspired by drugs. His books include Erotic Poems (1946), Ekstasis (1959), Destroyed Works (1962), Touch of the Marvelous (1966), The Blood of the Air (1970), Becoming Visible (1981), and Meadowland West (1986), written during his life in Mexico, France, Morocco, and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
