Hamilton, Dr. Alexander
Hamilton, Dr. Alexander( 1715–56),Scottish-born physician, practiced in Maryland after 1738. He was a founder of the Tuesday Club of Annapolis and is best known for his Itinerarium (1744), a diary of his journey through the Middle Colonies and as far as Boston, which provides an excellent account of contemporary society and manners.
