Coles, Robert
Coles, Robert( 1929– ),staff member and professor at Harvard (1963– ), a distinguished psychiatrist, educator, and author, whose numerous books include: Children of Crisis (1967); Migrants, Sharecroppers and Mountaineers (1972); Irony in the Mind's Life (1974), essays on novels, including work by James Agee; Eskimos, Chicanos and Indians (1978); Walker Percy: An American Search (1978); Flannery O'Connor's South (1980); and Children of Crisis (1967 and 1977), awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Vols. II and III. Rumors of Separate Worlds (1989) is one of his volumes of poetry.
