Baker, William Mumford
Baker, William Mumford( 1825–83),Presbyterian minister in Texas, Ohio, and Massachusetts, who was best known for his novel Inside: A Chronicle of Secession (1866), published under the pseudonym George F. Harrington and actually an autobiographical account of his life in the South during the Civil War. His other books include The New Timothy (1870), Carter Quarterman (1876), The Virginians in Texas (1878), A Year Worth Living (1878), and His Majesty: Myself (1880).
