Baker, Dorothy
Baker, Dorothy( 1907–68),Montana-born novelist, attended Whittier College, and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her novels are Young Man with a Horn (1938), inspired by the music of Bix Beiderbecke; Trio (1943), dramatized (1944) with her husband Howard Baker, novelist and poet; Our Gifted Son (1948); and Cassandra at the Wedding (1962),a psychological study of two sisters and their family.
