The Story:
When Nicholas Nickleby was nineteen years old, his father died a bankrupt. A short time after their bereavement, Nicholas, his sister Kate, and their mother set out for London. There they hoped that the late Mr. Nickleby’s brother, Ralph, might be willing to do something for them.
