Nike

Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, may originally have been considered an aspect of the goddess Athenain Greek mythology, goddess of wisdom and war; the daughter of Zeus (Roman goddess Minerva) rather than a deitygod or goddess in her own right. According to the Greek writer Hesiod(ca. 700 B.C.) Greek poet who wrote the Theogony, Nike was the daughter of the river Styx and the Titanone of a family of giants who ruled the earth until overthrown by the Greek gods of Olympus Pallas.
