Zero Symphony

Unnumbered symphony by ANTON BRUCKNER, 1863-64, in D minor, first complete performance in Klosterneuberg, 1924. This is the second surviving early symphony of Bruckner. The first, 1863, in F minor, is nicknamed the School Symphony. Bruckner actually named the D minor work Die Nullte in retrospect (this is also translated as Symphony No. 0). Its music is in a pleasing ROMANTIC vein, but the score lacks the composer's typical philosophical introspection.
