Song by Howard and Orlob, 1909, from the musical The Prince of the Night. Joseph Howard was listed as sole author when the song became a huge hit. Therefore, it was quite a shock when one Harold Orlob brought a lawsuit against Howard some 40 years later, with Orlob claiming to have written the song while working for Howard as an arranger. Remarkably, Orlob did not seek damages, only recognition. Howard conceded his claim, and the song was republished under both of their names.
