Wa-Wa
(wah-wah). 1. A trumpet technique (placing the hand in the bell) or MUTE that produces a wavering amplitude effect used principally in JAZZ. 2. An electronic device producing a similar effect on the ELECTRIC GUITAR and other instruments, usually manipulated by a foot pedal.
