It is scored for bass voice, brass instruments, piano, organ, percussion, and THEREMIN, to texts in Spanish from the sacred book of the Mexican priests, and was first performed in N.Y. It is one of the earliest works to employ an ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT, the Theremin.
