Death and the Maiden

Nickname for String Quartet No. 14 in D Minor by FRANZ SCHUBERT, 1824 (D. 810). The work contains a variation based on Schubert's song Der Tod und das Mädchen (Death and the maiden), which is the source of its nickname.
