Antony and Cleopatra

Opera by SAMUEL BARBER, based on Shakespeare's play, 1966, commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera for the inauguration of its new house at N.Y.'s Lincoln Center. The work was not well received on its initial performance, and Barber revised the score in 1975.
